The 'Instruct' feature in Narafy empowers you to directly communicate with the AI to perform specific tasks on your notes. By providing custom instructions, you can automate various text manipulations and enhancements, from editing and formatting to summarizing and generating content.

How to Use Instruct

Accessing Instruct

You can activate the 'Instruct' feature by pressing Ctrl + K on Windows or Cmd + K on Mac, whilst your in a note. This keyboard shortcut brings up the Instruct input where you can type your instruction.

Setting the Context

To use Instruct effectively, you can either select text in your note to set the context for the AI or you can type an instruction without selecting text. When text is selected, the AI uses it as a reference to better understand and execute your command.

Giving Your Instruction

Once the Instruct interface is open, type your custom instruction into the input field. Your instruction can be specific, like "summarize this text" or "rewrite this paragraph in a formal tone," or more creative, such as "generate a list of questions based on this text."

Executing the Instruction

Hit enter to run the instruction. The result will be added into your note, with options to insert or replace the selected text.

If you want to make further refinements, hit ask more where you can provide a follow up instruction.
